The coolest 11 yachts in town for the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix

Every year, the Monaco Grand Prix attracts some of the fleet's best superyachts for a weekend of adrenaline-fueled F1 action and A-list festivities in the principality's heart. Yachts tied stern to the circuit get a prime view of the cars racing around the track, but superyachts at anchor can enjoy all the Formula One excitement with the extra bonus of solitude and isolation. These are the ships to keep an eye out for in the 2023 event...

Phoenix 2 | 90m

Phoenix 2 is the best contender for hosting visitors at the Monaco Grand Prix since it was designed to meet a need for an entertainment-led layout. She offers an excellent mix of warm internal spaces and open alfresco socializing areas, including a covered winter garden that can accommodate up to 120 people. The 90-meter Lürssen is anchored at the port's entrance in Monaco, and yacht-spotters may notice her striking 5.4-meter phoenix figurehead on the bow.

Titiana| 73m

Titania, a charter boat, has obtained a coveted trackside seat for the race, offering her guests the best view of the cars racing through Monaco. For passengers searching for cover, the main deck aft will be popular, while the sundeck provides lots of seating choices as well as a 4.5-meter pool with a swim-up bar. Anyone looking for a break from Formula One will find lots of indoor areas to explore, including a large main saloon and skylounge with a drop-down cinema screen.

Lady Jorgia | 115m

The historic 115.1-metre Lürssen is making her first high-profile appearance as Lady Jorgia, marking the largest yacht sale of 2023 thus far. The façade of the ex-Ahpo was designed by Nuvolari Lenard and has sugar-scoop windows and massive black segments along the top of the superstructure. The design is supposed to be inspired by Ferraris, making her seem completely at home in the Monaco harbor.

Octopus | 126m

Octopus has just returned from a charter cruise around Antarctica, and while her facilities make her more suited to adventure, she is nevertheless a welcome addition to Port Hercules. The exterior of the 126.2-metre yacht was designed by Espen Ino, with interiors by Monk Design and Jonathan Quinn Barnett. Octopus has seven tenders, an underwater viewing room with a glass bottom, a smoothie bar, and a basketball court.

Aalto | 80m

The 80-metre Oceanco gigantic Aalto, formerly known as Amevi, is docked in the heart of Port Hercule to watch the Grand Prix. The yacht features a distinctive Nuvolari Lenard exterior and furnishings by the late Alberto Pinto, with a total internal capacity of 2310GT, ensuring plenty of space to watch the races from within. In July 2022, the boat was rechristened, and her name now means "wave" in Finnish.

Joy Me | 50m

Joy Me, usually berthed in Cap d’Ail, is making an appearance in Port Hercules for the Grand Prix. She’ll be one of the most recognisable yachts at the event, with her custom red and white exterior and unusual eye motif — said to be the eyes of the commissioning owner’s daughter. The Croatian-built yacht 49.9-metre has masses of exterior areas for guests to make the most of, as well as a fun interior with plenty of modern artwork.

Lammouche | 44m

Lammouche, a 44-metre Sanlorenzo with a charter-oriented layout, is fresh off pioneering experiments of a new form of biofuel. A huge sundeck surrounded by glass bulwarks provides unrivaled views of Monte Carlo.

Resilience | 65.5m

Resilience has been a busy cruiser since her introduction in 2021, first appearing for the New Year's Eve festivities in St Barths and now for the Monaco Grand Prix. The 65.5-metre ISA yacht was designed by Enrico Gobbi - Team for Design, and the Italian firm strived to build a modern, yet comfortable interior with space for 14 guests.

Loon | 55m

Instagram's favorite charter boat, Loon, is also on the list of ships attending the Grand Prix, and will be berthed within the harbor, close to the action. The 54.5-metre Newcastle Marine is often seen exploring the Caribbean's crystal-clear seas and putting her massive treasure chest of toys to good use, but she is presently located across the pond. Her larger sister, the recently acquired Icon yacht Loon, is located just up the coast in Marseille.

Cloud 9 | 89m

Cloud 9 was one of the most expensive yachts sold in 2022, and she made her first public appearance under her new name during last year's Monaco Grand Prix. The Oceanco build was notoriously quiet when she was known as Infinity; now it appears she's spending a bit more time in the spotlight. She is available for rental via Burgess and has large lounging areas, a sumptuous beauty salon, and a main deck pool measuring over 18 metres cubed.

Lionheart | 90m

Lionheart was launched by Benetti in 2016 as the Italian shipyard's new flagship, and it is the owner's third Benetti with the same name. The 90-meter motor yacht is no stranger to Monte Carlo, having spent the most of her time cruising the French and Italian Rivieras from her home port of Port Hercules. The Lionheart is now docked at the far end of Quai Rainier.
